At Society we are committed to offering our employees a strong benefits package and robust wellness program. We feel that the health and wellness of employees plays a critical role in the effectiveness of the company. Beyond that, we know that creating a work environment that encourages and facilitates wellness is simply the right thing to do as an employer.
Some of the wellness programs we offer include an on-site health risk assessment for employees and their spouse or same sex domestic partner. Though we stress the importance of having the recommended preventive screenings done through our medical plan, this is another great tool for them to measure their health status from year to year and set goals accordingly.
To help with this goal setting process we bring a health coach on-site once a month to work with employees on setting and working through various health and fitness goals. We offer a wide variety of nutrition- and fitness-based wellness programs to help employees with such goals and to have some fun while doing so. We also offer some environmental programs such as monthly on-site chair massages to help alleviate stress and an on-site farmers market to promote eating healthy.
We see the importance of having a results-based wellness program. Therefore we establish an operational plan for wellness each year and measure ourselves against our established goals. We also survey our employees on their interests for future programs and the effectiveness of past programs.
